Video surveillance / CCTV
IP camera systems planned for real coverage, installed clean, recording and retaining as specified.
Low-voltage installs, networking and IT support across Southwest Florida. Cameras, racks, Cat6, Wi-Fi, TV mounting and electrical work — from the quote to the handoff.
IP camera systems planned for real coverage, installed clean, recording and retaining as specified.
Racks, PoE switching, VLANs and access points placed after an actual site survey — not guesswork.
Cat6/6A runs, patch panels, terminations tested and verified, raceway and conduit, everything labeled.
Windows Server managing machines centrally, QuickBooks server hosting, on-site diagnosis, user support.
PBX setup, extensions and voicemail, voice VLAN with QoS; Toast POS installation and troubleshooting — terminals and kitchen printers.
VLAN segmentation, firewall rules, log monitoring, local and cloud backups, recovery plan, staff phishing training.
Home theater, distributed audio, and TV mounting with fully concealed wiring.
Panels, underground PVC conduit, receptacles, lighting, dedicated power for equipment.
Most IT techs don't run conduit. I do.
Self-hosted Linux systems, dashboards, automated documentation and reports, integrations, web portals.
When a task repeats, I build the tool for it.
Five stages — and one client relationship that runs through them.
Technical training in CCTV and networking, plus specialized online coursework. Installed and maintained video surveillance and network cabling. This is where the trade started.
PC repair and assembly, camera installs, routers, device setup. Clients came by word of mouth from people who had seen the work. Fixing one machine turned into fixing the whole network.
In-home installation: home theater, TV mounting, cameras, residential networks, on-site diagnosis and direct client contact in their home. Frequently assigned to support the Magnolia team on larger-scale projects — the chain's premium audio/video line.
Panels, underground PVC conduit runs, lighting, receptacles. Residential and commercial service. This is where I learned what's behind the wall — it's why I can power a system today, not just connect it.
End-to-end projects: walkthrough, quote, materials, installation, configuration, documentation and follow-up support.
JR Marble Restoration · 2018–present
A marble restoration company with no IT infrastructure and nobody to run it. Every machine on its own — no network, no backups, no control.
I opened the company's IT department from scratch: full network installed and segmented, video surveillance system, dedicated QuickBooks server, Windows Server centrally managing the company's 10 machines. Every new service the operation needed was built on top of that base.
Eight years later, I'm still the one running that infrastructure.
Ten machines — a small commercial account, stated as-is. The argument was never size: I built it whole, I run it alone, and it has held for eight years.
Restaurant — 12 network drops · 3 APs
Wi-Fi dropping during peak hours, with POS and guest traffic on the same network.
Site survey, channel-interference diagnosis, relocated and replaced access points with UniFi U7 Pro, new Cat6 runs, separate VLANs for POS and guests.
A stable network through full service.
A sellable service for retainer IT clients
Staff clicking on phishing is the most common way a small business gets hurt — and training is usually an afterthought.
Isolated Docker Compose environment: GoPhish for controlled campaigns, Mailhog for mail capture, Wazuh for detection and log review. Staff receive realistic controlled phishing emails, clicks are measured, and the results drive the training.
A recurring-revenue line that attaches to an existing IT retainer.
Built to do my own field work better — not a service offering.
Quotes, clients and job documentation scattered across apps and paper.
A web system of my own: Next.js 14, PostgreSQL, authentication, file storage and photo-documented handoffs. Deployed and administered on my own Linux VPS, with no third-party dependence.
Every installation ends up documented — and I administer the infrastructure that holds it.
Business systems on top of the network — two separate clients
Not the same job as PRJ-02: there, the work was the network under another client's existing Toast. Here, for a different client, the work was the phone and POS systems themselves.
PBX setup (3CX / UniFi Talk), extensions and voicemail, IP desk phones and mobile softphones, voice VLAN with QoS priority.
Calls that don't drop when the network gets busy.
Toast POS installed and supported: terminals, kitchen printer and peripherals on a dedicated VLAN, with its firewall path to the payment provider.
Orders printing and payments clearing through full service.
I started in CCTV and network installation in Venezuela in 2013 and have worked in Southwest Florida since 2016 — first by referral, then installing in clients' homes for Geek Squad, then on the electrical side with Plug In Services. I've quoted, installed, configured, documented and supported systems end to end, alone. What I want now is a crew where that experience compounds. I bring my own SUV, ladders and a full set of low-voltage, electrical, hand and diagnostic tools — I show up ready to work, not waiting to be equipped.
